Segregation of duties

Unauthorized or inappropriate user access may exist which would potentially allow fraudulent transactions to be processed in the system.

Stelda gained over the years important experiences in the pre-audit activities support with a particular reference to the segregation of duties. They were responsible for all aspects, starting from the organization chart project, definition of corporate positions inside the different departments, up to the roles definition and activities connected to each role.

Using a owner comparison tool, Stelda is able, starting from the matrix of the business risk developed according to the internal risk manager, to identify the most dangerous positions and procedures according to the business, to the procedures for the segregation/mitigation risks.

The main segregation of dutie projects developed in these last years are the followiong:

2009-2010 – Lindt & Sprungli – reengineering inside the organization chart in SAP; departments, positions and roles design. Risk matrix preparation, checking and solution of the HX type risks

2010-2011 – Caffarel – inside the roll out project in Sap of the corporate information system, organization chart creation inside SAP, departments, positions and roles design. Checking of the type HX risks solution.

2002-2011 – Safosa Spa – inside the company AMS management, review and makeover of the Segregation of duty with reengineering of the organization chart and SAP roles makeover.

2007-2013 – DeMiclen a.s – inside the company AMS management, review and makeover of the segregation of duty with reengineering of the organization chart and SAP roles makeover.

2009 - Ecolab Italia Srl – pre-audit activities and checking of high risk positions/roles using our owner tool. Assistance of the segregation/mitigation activities of these roles.
